For Independence Day, Continuum Veterans Foundation Aims to Help Wounded Marines and Corpsmen Make Successful Transition to Civilian Life through FOCUS Marines Foundation

BOSTON – July 2, 2015Continuum Veterans Foundation, helping returning troops find jobs in the IT industry, donated $2,500 to FOCUS Marines Foundation in honor of Independence Day. Based in St. Louis, Missouri, FOCUS Marines Foundation is a nationally recognized organization helping wounded, ill and injured Marines and Corpsmen returning from the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan to make successful and rewarding transition from military to civilian life. Continuum Veterans Foundation was established in 2012 by Continuum®, the industry's only channel-exclusive provider of fully integrated managed IT services solutions.

“We are delighted to donate $2,500 to FOCUS Marines Foundation for Independence Day this year,” said Michael George, CEO at Continuum. “We are impressed with the help FOCUS is providing to wounded marines, so we are happy assist them in their mission of training veterans for civilian jobs. Those of us at Continuum Veterans Foundation are grateful for the dedicated service of our men and women in uniform – past and present.”

When leaving military life, depression and lack of direction can result in confusion and despair. The situation is understandable when Marines realize that they can no longer pursue their dreams of being fully functional Marines or Corpsmen and that they are leaving a way of life that is rich in heritage and friendships of brothers and sisters in uniform. The scars of war – including Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS), physical disabilities and disfigurement – can make the scope of the challenge overwhelming. The objective of FOCUS is to help each Marine and post 9/11 veteran become an active member of society and realize his or her dreams and goals.

“We are grateful for the support of Continuum Veterans Foundation,” said Ted Kretschmar, Vice President of Development at FOCUS Marines Foundation. “Continuum’s support assists us in making our 8-day FOCUS workshop available at no cost to wounded warriors from across the United States. FOCUS program is making a difference in the lives of our veterans.”

Continuum is the sole donor to the Continuum Veterans Foundation with a percentage of revenue from its Help Desk going to the Foundation. Continuum also provides preferential consideration in hiring veterans at the company. For a listing of current job openings, visit: For more information on Continuum Veterans Foundation, visit:
